Developing & Scaling Go at HUK Coburg

For three years (2022 to 2024), I have been deeply involved in backend development and the implementation of best practices using Go in a corporate environment. My primary responsibilities included enhancing existing Go services and providing comprehensive coaching to the development team. Here are some of the key highlights of my experience:

• Enhancement of Existing Go Services: I significantly improved the performance and reliability of existing Go services by implementing best practices and optimizing code.
• Coaching and Mentoring: I provided coaching to over 20 employees, ranging from beginners to advanced developers. My mentoring helped them develop a deep understanding of Go and improve their coding skills.
• Lowering the Barrier for Adoption and Enabling Corporate-Wide Scaling: I facilitated the scalability of service development within the company by creating and implementing blueprints and best practices. These blueprints ensured a standardized approach to service development, making it easier for the team to adopt and maintain high-quality code.

Through these efforts, I have contributed to a more efficient and scalable development process, enabling the team to deliver robust and maintainable services using Go.
